29. Nov / 16.45 - 18.00 Festivals 2050 - How do you see the future?
Lisa is the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Easol. The first booking platform to empower festival creators with full control of every part of their business from their brand to their website, data, customers, finances and more.
Before launching Easol in 2017, Lisa and her Co-Founder Ben Simpson spent 15 years running events including Rough Hill, Europe’s largest student events business, selling over 2 million tickets a year - which sold to Chime PLC. In 2014, they Co-Founded Rise Festival - Europe’s largest winter snow sports and music festival.
Whilst building Rise Festival, Ben and Lisa became frustrated with trying to sell and manage complex experiences with the wrong tools. On top of this, how much control third party platforms had over the key aspects of their business - restricting their brand, controlling when they were paid and using their data to promote rival events. They set out to build a new way to sell festivals that put the power back into the hands of the creators with Easol’s experience commerce platform.
Today, Easol is the primary platform for festival and experience creators globally in 135+ countries including Afro Nation, Womad, Defected, Hospitality, Beatworx, Secret Garden Party, The Discovery Channel and Wanderlust.
